DUG’s Grow a Garden program connects individuals and community groups* to seeds, seedlings, and education to get growing at home or in a DUG garden.
Our goal is to increase access to gardening for all!
We make it easy for new gardeners to learn new skills while removing financial barriers to growing healthy, organic food. The Grow a Garden program is for anyone who wants to connect to their food and the earth.
*Group applications are for those applying on behalf of groups such as schools, classrooms, educational, human service or faith-based organizations and community garden donation plots.
How To Participate in Grow a Garden:
1) Select a Grow a Garden Kit from the options below
All seeds are non-GMO + organic from Botanical Interests and all seedlings are organic and grown through Blooma Farms. Please note that some substitutions may be necessary, so the kit you order may differ slightly from the kit contents shown below.
To increase the size of this program to serve more Denver families, custom orders are no longer available for individual households. Please come to DUG’s annual Spring Plant Sale for individual varieties. We still offer custom orders for large groups, especially classrooms and human services organizations. Please email growagarden@dug.org to design a custom order for a large group (5 or more kits).
All Garden Kits come with a Plant Care Guide that includes sample layouts for planting.
