Ready to get involved in your nearest community garden? The garden season begins in May and runs through October. Here's how to get started:
1. Contact the Denver Urban Gardens office at 303.292.9900 to obtain the name and number of the garden leader of your chosen garden site.
2. Contact the garden leader to secure a plot. If a plot is available (waiting lists are common), the garden leader will meet you at the garden to select a plot. The garden leader will also share information about social events, maintenance guidelines, fees and forms that need to be completed.
3. Get a jump start on the paperwork by downloading the forms below and have them ready to turn in to your garden leader after your plot is assigned. DUG has over 70 community garden sites located throughout the metro area. If space is not available at your first choice garden, simply choose another site. Call the DUG office to pick an alternative.
4. Happy Gardening!
DUG requires all community gardeners to fill out and return these forms. Simply click to download.
